This is a simple excursion, lasting approximately 4 hours and length 9.4 km. Departure altitude at 1515 meters and arrival altitude at 2100 meters above sea level. Starting from the small church of Santa Maria Antica, proceed along the Cantico delle Creature path, passing the ski slope at the arrival of the ski lift. Take the path to the Piazzetta dell’Imperatrice Sissi and go up into a magnificent spruce forest, on the “Monte Spinale” track, reaching a panoramic point recognizable by the polished stone engraved in memory of Princess Sissi’s visit. You then proceed with a constant slope along a path where you will appreciate unique views of Madonna di Campiglio.
The Queen’s gardens – Madonna di Campiglio
This excursion will make you love the mountains and the Brenta Dolomites even more, as you will feel like you are part of nature, an environment of high geological value. For this route we start at the arrival of the Grostè cable car where a wide path awaits you in constant descent alongside the Pietra-Grande ski slope; following the path you will arrive at the “Orti della Regina”, an interesting area also for the strong presence of fossils of very ancient origins and for the notable varieties of flowers. Returning then you arrive at Campo Carlo Magno again with the Grostè cable car or on foot.
Malga Vagliana and Vaglianella – Madonna di Campiglio
This 3 and a half hour itinerary is a simple route that is very popular at the beginning of the season because it can be done even with little snow. Starting from the car park of the Grostè cable car you will arrive at the Graffer refuge, skirting the golf course until the crossroads in Poza Vecia; continuing you will then arrive at Malga Vaglianella and Malga Vagliana. The descent instead takes place along the track.
