The historic “White Circus” race is back on the snow of the Canalone Miramonti and in the World Cup program. In December the lights will be turned on on the Canalone Miramonti to host, at night, the 69th edition of the men’s special slalom race .
Canalone Miramonti is a skiing legend: designed in 1940 by Bruno Detassis, the “Lord of Brenta”, mountaineer, but also director of the first ski school in Madonna di Campiglio.
A technical, demanding track, modulated by decisive changes in slope, in 1967 it hosted the first World Cup race in Italy. On this track, between World Cup and European Cup races, numerous events of the 3Tre were held, the historic event created in 1948, which has become a fixed stop on the FIS World Cup calendar.
Everyone dreams of wearing it. It is the “Maglia Fulmine”, symbol of the 3Tre and of a pioneering era of skiing which rewarded the most complete athlete, the best in interpreting the three historical specialties of the “White Circus”: slalom, giant slalom and downhill.
At the end of the fifties, the winner of the 3Tre competition was awarded the “Maglia Fulmine”. Wearing it meant being the best. A yellow uniform, characterized by hints of red and blue.
Madonna di Campiglio in collaboration with Falconeri, has reintroduced and relaunched the “Maglia Fulmine”, after over 60 years. It is a unique garment that represents Italian style and the joy of triumph. Further motivation for the slalom aces who will battle on the night of Miramonti, to write a new fascinating chapter in the 3Tre history.
Numerous athletes have competed on the famous Canalone Miramonti. Between defeats and victories, athletes of different nationalities have left their mark in Madonna di Campiglio.
For ski enthusiasts, the 3-tre race this year will bring its magic and adrenaline on December 22nd. Tickets available online. We are waiting for you!
